2014 - 2016
Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO)
China

The Knowledge Exchange in International Waters project provided catalytic support to advanced, interdisciplinary capacity development in transboundary water. Iwel worked with Chinese, Asian, and African water-related academic and decision-making organisations to provide technical support to the monitoring and evaluation (M&E).

Iwel was tasked with designing a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system, complete with defined standards, approaches, methods, tools and application plans. To enable this, key stakeholders were engaged in co-creating a Theory of Change to establish a shared understanding of how impact occurs. Iwel worked with the various partners to lead on this process and operationalised the M&E for the project.
